Monday January 31, 2011

Service Tech or Core Exam

This one-day class prepares participants to take the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Service Technician Certification test or Core Exam, which is a pre-requisite to Category 3a certification that will be given immediately following the class.

Commercial Applicator

A commercial applicator is any person who engages in the commercial application of pesticides. Commercial Application means the advertising of services, recommendation for use, the preparation for application and physical act of application of a pesticide for hire or compensation.

Non-Commercial Applicator

Any person, other than a commercial or private applicator, who uses or supervises the use of a restricted use pesticide under the supervision of a person who owns or manages the property. Noncommercial applicators are certified to use restricted use pesticides in the same manner as required for commercial applicators.

Oklahoma Department of Agriculture Ornamental and Turf Outdoor Pest Control (category 3a) Certification Test. Applicants must complete the Service Technician Certification or pass the Core Exam prior to taking the Ornamental and Turf Outdoor Pest Control test.

Pest Control?

Anyone applying pesticides (commercially or noncommercially) within residential or business areas to lawns, ornamental trees and shrubs, including park areas, golf courses, and other recreational areas.

Registration 8:30 - 8:45 am

(includes rolls & coffee)

Training 8:45 am - 3:00 pm

(includes lunch)

Testing 3:00 pm
